34th Annual Conference of the International Society for Computerized Electrocardiology

Posted by Ivor on Sat 28 of Feb., 2009 18:52 CET
The International Society for Computerized Electrocardiology (external link) is devoted to the advancement of electrocardiography through the application of computer methods. Its annual scientific conference brings together scientists, clinicians, engineers and policy makers working in the field. Since the conference is designed to stimulate the informal exchange of ideas and information, attendance is limited to approximately 135 participants and the meeting site is selected to be comfortable but somewhat secluded.

This year's conference will be held in Panama City Beach from April 23 to April 27. The preliminary program (external link) can be viewed at the conference web site, alongside registration information (external link).

The people behind this blog, which is actually one of the most popular medical blogs in the World, have expressed their support for our project by putting one of our banners on their site.

You can easily do the same. Simply copy and paste the code of the badge you want into your web page, forum or e-mail signature.

First reactions

Posted by Ivor on Mon 08 of Dec., 2008 09:41 CET
Our community came online just 5 days ago and already we have received a lot of attention. People from different backgrounds across the globe sent us emails full of positive energy and support. They all want this project to succeed.

At the same time, a lot of blogs have written about the project. All of these posts have been archived and can be accessed on our Iterasi page (external link). We will continue to archive anything new written about the openECGproject, so you might want to visit this page from time to time.

Twitter is another place were we are gaining momentum. Exciting thing happened some hours ago when our project was mentioned in a tweet by Mr. Tim O'Reilly, the founder of O'Reilly Media (external link). Tim is a great supporter of the free software and open source movements. You can visit his excellent O'Reilly radar (external link) blog to read the latest open source news.

If you want to be always up to date with our newest advancements, we suggest you subscribe to our blog and follow us on Twitter (external link).
